Carson McFarlin '24 Recruiting Profile

I have dreamed of playing college baseball since I was 12 years old. I have the skills and mental capacity to contribute to any team. I was on track for this goal but in October 2021 I suffered a setback. I ended up in the hospital with a life-threatening illness. A total of 20 days in the hospital, 9 weeks treatment, open heart surgery and several setbacks. I was told many times by doctors I would never play baseball again. Three months after surgery I proved them wrong and started my first game of my sophomore year. I went 4 for 4 with 4 RBIs. I'm resilient, determined and I have the talent.
