Personal Statement
I was born to catch. I cannot remember a time when I did not want to play baseball. I have learned what it takes to play at the college level. I have always been dedicated, hard working and determined on and off the field. I have been fortunate enough to have had some amazing coaches who have taught me what it truly means to be a teammate and a leader. I believe that being a good example for other players is extremely important. As a leader, I need to be a good example on and off the field. I hold myself to a higher standard because I am the only one responsible for being the person I know I can be. Everyday is a new opportunity to grow, learn and improve. My physical ability and strength is apparent, though extremely important, my character, work ethic and love for the game also shines through.
