Personal Statement

My name is Sammy Ericson and I just ended my junior year at Cherokee High School in Canton, GA.  My goal is to find a college team where I can play and continue to develop and to build a personal bond with the coaching staff.  I have 5 different pitches that I can command, I have a high baseball IQ and I am a very effective and accurate pitcher.   

 I have played baseball and basketball since I was 3.  After my Sophomore Varsity basketball season, I decided to focus only on baseball.  My summer team is the East Cobb Astros 17u and I have played for the Astros since I was 14. 
 
I absolutely love the game of baseball.  My favorite baseball memory is when my team went to Cooperstown.  We made it to the Championship game in Majors Stadium and I got to pitch the championship game.  We won and my team had the best time.  I have a 3.7 GPA.
