Cole Hockman '24 Recruiting Profile

Competing in sports drives me everyday.  Since I was young, I have had a drive to continually improve to be a stronger and smarter competitor.  I have competed in many sports, but baseball is my passion.  I seek to have baseball in my life during and after college.  Everyday I put in several hours of work in the gym, at the cages and / or on the field.  My coaches tell me my work ethic and coachability are some of my best attributes and set me apart.  I strive to be one of the hardest working players.  I excel in the field and I am always looking to better myself and those around me.

I am a leader on and off the field.  I lead by example with my hard work, dedication to excellence, and incorporating advice from coaches and in turn, I am often helping and encouraging my teammates as well.  I was voted team captain my junior year and selected for All Conference.  I am a utility player that starts at third base, but can play any infield or outfield position, pitches relief and bats 3rd, 4th or 5th in the lineup.      

I excel in the classroom. I have a 4.85 weighted and 3.74 unweighted GPA (thru Jr. year).  I have or will have taken 6 AP classes.  I want to attend a college that can push me both academically and athletically.
