2022 Spotlight
2022 Highlights Hi, I am Alec, 16 years old and a 2025 grad. I am a right-handed pitcher but I can play every position on the diamond except for catching and first.
I am from The Netherlands where I attend high school at the highest academic level possible. Besides baseball my future career is very important to me so that is why I am looking for a college with a good academic level
Before I started playing baseball I played judo for 5 years. This has given me the balance and agility that I use in baseball and in everyday life. Baseball in The Netherlands is not a common sport but I started loving the game during my holidays in Florida. I started playing baseball with The Lions with which we won the regional championship in 2018 and 2019. After this I was asked to join my current team, The Cheetahs, who competed at a higher level. We won the regional championship in 2020. After that season I got asked at 14 years old to come and play with the u21 team. The 2021 season got mostly canceled due to Covid-19 but this year (2022) we are on track to win yet another championship. I have also been playing at the Future star baseball academy for 4 years and I have been attending a pitching winter school since 2018 till 2024
I push myself to be better everyday and motivate my teammates to do the same. I remain calm under all circumstances giving my team the chance to get back into the game. To get even better I am not only training with my own club but this year I also got selected for the Future Star Baseball Academy. With this team I have been playing international tournaments: Pony League, Perfect Game, Palimino League and Baseball In Paradise tournament in Aruba. The last one is an MLB accredited tournament. I have also been to the Baseball Factory at The Seminole college.
I am positive that I not only have the talent to play for a college team, but that I also possess the character, the drive, and leadership skills to be a great addition to any team.
