Team Ontario Astros play in the Canadian Premier Baseball League (CPBL), founded in the summer of 2015 as the premier organization in the entire country, including the top amateur players and programs from the province of Ontario. The CPBL and its member programs are committed to producing high-calibre players, with a focus on development, and enhancing the profile of the game in Canada. COACHING AND TRAINING -Combining the top training programs and methods in North America used by over half the current Major League Baseball players and organizations. All of our coaches and trainers come with extensive backgrounds, from former professional players to college coaches as well as current NCAA collegiate players and Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) players. -Automatic invites/bids to U.S. national showcases, tournament, and events. OFF SEASON TRAINING -4-5 instructors per team, per practice -Pitching specific practices alongside 2-3 instructors in our Pitching Lab -Positional specific practices, as well as team practices -Small group developmental sessions, allowing for one-on-one time with instructors and coordinators -Rapsodo and Blast Motion implemented into training... Testing metrics, tracking results and player specific development programs to improve on numbers -Player development binders | Goal setting, tracking sheets, lifting programs, nutrition guidelines and in-game defensive coverage -Full strength and conditioning program created by a former pro pitcher and NCAA Division I pitcher
