November 2017
November 2017 General Baseball Summary:
A contact hitter with potential for power to all fields. Running the bases is one of my core strengths with strong instincts to score and steal bases (not caught stealing this year). From the mound, not necessarily overpowering, but 4 quality pitches and the ability to move the ball up and down and right to left. I have played and thrived in many high leverage situations, ranging from pitching starts in the LLWS to this summer playing in our national semi-final at the Canada Summer Games. I am a quiet focused leader.
Academic Summary:
I am a well rounded student taking a range of sciences, maths and social sciences. I am most interested in the biochemical sciences, and also its impact on society. My goals eventually include pursuing a post graduate degree. I take enormous pride in having made the honor roll every year despite my athletic and volunteer commitments. These include, youth baseball coaching, independent strength and conditioning, varsity baseball, varsity volleyball and club baseball. I am also a 4 year member of "Man-Up", a student lead action committee striving to set new standards of behavior towards the woman in our school.
2017 Team Ontario Canada Summer Games:
Played in all games. Started 6 of 8 and came in off the bench to pinch run in the other two.
2017 Team Canada (Ontario) Jr. Sunbelt Classic (Oklahoma)
Started in 7 of 10 games in one of the top US based JR tournaments. Played RF and pitched in relief. 4K’s in 2.2 innings pitched with 1ER. Hit a homerun (only from Team Canada during the week). 3 RBI for the week and 3 runs scored in a tournament where we did not score a lot of runs.
2017 Ottawa Nepean Canadians 18U
Played in the 18U division of the Premier Baseball League of Ontario (wood-bat) as a 16yo. Patrolled CF, hitting lead-off and took a regular weekend start on the mound. In a short season due to Provincial team commitments, hit .296 with .451 on-base. Stole 5 bases and was never caught. From the mound, 0.9K/inning with 1.26 ERA in 30 innings pitched.
