Anthony Brooks '24 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to continue to improve in both athletics and academics as I transfer to a four year school to complete my MBA.  One of my biggest assets is that I am a team player and leader whose focus is both on the ice and in the classroom. I use my speed and size to my advantage in the net. Standing at 6' 2" tall and weighing 180bs, I have very quick lateral and up and down movement.  

I was the starting goalie for ACHA D2 California State University at Northridge for the 2023/2024 season. I will be playing at D1 Towson University in the fall of 2024

I've played hockey most of my life. Due to the Covid restrictions between 2019 and 2021, hockey was affected being an indoor sport, so I accepted a baseball scholarship at Ventura College in California to play baseball. I was off the recruiting radar during that period, but I continued to play hockey throughout, and back full time in 2022. Hockey is my passion, and I am eager to help a team win and pursue my education at the same time.

Academically, I was an above average student, graduating with honors at Ventura. I completed each year with a GPA of 3.6 and 3.8 respectively, and completed high school with a weighted GPA of 3.8 (88% avg.) and made the Deans list. I was an honor roll member for Grade 10 through 12 in high school.  I strive to be the best student athlete I can be. I take pride in the positive teacher feedback on term report cards, and want to continue to drive myself to be the best I can be in the classroom, sports and in the community.
