Jeff Prouse '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jeff Prouse and I am in my sophomore year at Sullivan County Community College in New York.  I started playing baseball at four years old and ever since I have loved to play the game. One of my goals is to continue playing baseball at the next level with in a competitive baseball program.  I work extremely hard at my studies and I am on the Dean’s Honor List.  While school work is my priority, I work just as hard at becoming the best baseball pitcher I can be. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to play on many championship teams and was a starting pitcher on those teams.  In 2011, I pitched a 2-0 complete game shutout to win the Ontario Canadian Baseball Association Eliminations Championship (18U) and also I was the winning pitcher in the 2011 Canadian National Championship (18U) Game.  I ended the 2011 regular season at 10-3, in 96 innings pitched with a 1.89 ERA. and was named Pitcher of the Year.  In 2012 I was a starting pitcher for the 2012 Mid-Hudson Conference Region XV Champions Sullivan Generals and ended the 2012 season 2-1, in 31 innings with a 3.78 ERA. I was named NJCAA Region XV Pitcher for the Week of April 10, 2012.  I believe I have a great work ethic and I am very coachable which is shown by the fact I was given the 2012 Coach’s Award.  I would love an opportunity to be a student athlete at your University and will work very hard to achieve that goal.
