Mike MacDonald '19 Recruiting Profile

As a Baseball Player, I have always tried to compete and play at the highest level possible, weather that be high school, travel ball, or to try and play baseball at the collegiate level. When I entered High School, my school didn't have a team and hadn't for over 15 years. Because of this, I decided to make it a mission to create a team for my school, which after two years of work, ended up happening.  In the classroom, as I am not the fastest to learn and fully understand new topics, I think that my study habits and ability to learn greatly help me in the classroom, and that coachability will carry over to the Baseball field. I feel that while I might not be the biggest or hardest throwing guy out there, my work ethic and drive to compete are what will make me a better ball player, and an easy player to coach for whatever school I end up playing for. Weather it be the 5am run and weights, the all day classes, or the evening batting practice, I feel that my urge to be better, not just as a person, but to make the team better, is what separates me from others.
