About Me - The Player
My goal is to play college baseball. I’ve loved baseball and have been playing my entire life. At every level, I’ve been motivated to be the best that I can be by training hard, learning the game, and constantly improving. For the past 3 years I’ve been playing for Terriers Baseball of the Canadian Premier Baseball League (CPBL), the most competitive league in Canada. (High school baseball in Canada isn’t a big thing - club/travel team playing is where it’s at.) I’m an outfielder who can play all three outfield positions and a left-handed pitcher. I pride myself in training hard to improve all facets of my game – hitting, fielding, running, throwing, and pitching. I had a very successful summer playing in travel tournaments throughout the US. Batting lead off and playing as an underage player, I contributed to our team reaching the semi-finals of the very competitive 16U ABC D1 Invite Platinum Division. I will be playing for the 16U Terriers Baseball program again in the 2026 season. @nolanscottbaseball on Instagram.
About Me - The Student
I work as hard in the classroom as I do on the field. Through grade 9 and 10, I have achieved a 90% average including taking some Advanced Placement (AP) courses. I have enrolled in AP courses again in my upcoming Grade 11 year, as I hope this gives me the best potential options when choosing my college major. I will graduate high school in 2027 when I am 17. Since we start school in Canada at a younger age, I can defer the start of college until 2028 to continue my growth as a player.
About Me - The Person
I’m driven in everything that I do. I take responsibility and accountability seriously. I was voted by my teammates as a team captain for our 15U Terriers Baseball team in 2024. As a multi-sport athlete in high school, I received the junior basketball Coaches Award in 2024 for my work ethic, attitude, and leadership playing on the team as a ninth grader. The following year, in 2025, I received the junior basketball “MVP Award”. My teachers have made the following comments on my report cards, “Nolan is organized & prepared for class, is very enthusiastic and has shown to be a great teammate to all members of the class- this is a quality that is rare and very valued”, and “Nolan is a leader amongst his peers.” This demonstrates my commitment to my school, my team, my teammates, my teachers, and my coaches. If you choose me to be a part of your program, I will be committed in the same way.
