2023 Highlights
1st pitching star...My name is Hayden and I am a 18 yr old from Brisbane Australia. I am 6ft4 180lbs pitcher / 1st Baseman and baseball has been my passion since I first played when I was 8 years old. I have played in many different leagues and represented my country in South Korea and Taiwan thus giving me many experiences in which to learn and grow.
In May 2024 I played in the Australian U18 Schoolboys Nationals where my State team won the silver medal. I was awarded the Golden Arm award for pitcher of the tournament and was named as the only player from Queensland in the All Australian Team. My stats from the tournament were
2 games started for 2 wins
11.2 innings pitched 0 runs 4 hits 15k 5 BB.
The team that won the tournament lost just the one game which was my Complete Game Shutout.
I have just represented Australia in the DownUnder Travellers team playing in two tournaments back to back in West Palm Beach Florida area in July 2024 before returning to Australia. The first tournament was the Prospect Select World Series and the second tournament was the Palm Beach open.
The World Series was played at the Miami Marlins and St Louis cardinals complex and the palm beach open at the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals facilities. Overall I pitched really well with my last 8.1 innings going for 2 runs with 9 Ks.
In 2023 I was a part of the Queensland U18 AYC team who won the national tournament and I pitched in the Gold Medal game as a 16 year old, one of the youngest in the tournament. Having these experiences, I have grown greatly and am sure I would be an asset to any team. Recently in March 2024 My region Brisbane Met North won the u18 Schoolboys Baseball Gold Medal.
Currently it is the off season here so I have started working with one of the best Pitching Coaches in Brisbane once a week to work on my mechanics and also started a Strength and Conditioning program with a PT in the city to help improve my velocity. In this short amount of time I have seen my Velocity go up from 81mph to 84mph in 3 months.
I have always stayed focused on being the best I can be and enjoyed playing baseball the game I love.
In 2020 I started going to school at the Earnshaw Baseball Academy here in Brisbane and in my first year was awarded Sportsman of the year. Whilst achieving all I could at the Baseball Academy I have also kept my grades to a very high standard with mostly A's and B's achieved in every subject. I have just finished Year 11 and go into my final year of Highschool in 2024.
I have many qualities to bring to any team, I am a team player who always strives to do his best and get along well with fellow team mates and coaches. I follow directions, I’m ready for anything at any time, I have a positive attitude, I am kind and caring and encourage others.
In 2015 I unfortunately lost my mum to cancer and I have used this tragic loss to help me be the best possible person I can be and make her so proud and being a role model for my younger brother and showing him the importance of helping each other out.
I am looking for a school that can help me financially while allowing me to have the opportunity to get a great education and fulfill my dream of playing college level baseball. I have a passion to get a degree in Exercise Physiology and to have a career working with other athletes.
In Australia there is not as many opportunities to showcase my baseball talents and I know I can bring so much to a college in the USA and improve my skills and reach my goals.
Baseball is a huge part of my life. Throughout the years, it has given me many outstanding qualities that would make me a strong asset for your team. It has made me become very self-disciplined to condition and train on my own. It has given me a passion to improve as a player and find ways I could contribute to my team’s success. I feel I would bring good character, tough mental and moral qualities to your team. I have a good natured personality, and get along very well with coaches and teammates. I have a positive attitude and I can follow and take direction.
Baseball has taught me the value of teamwork. The team has to work together in order to be successful. This is an important life skill. Baseball has also taught me how to mentally move on. Every at bat or pitch is a new opportunity. I have learned to reset and concentrate on the next opportunity.
I am looking forward to finding a school that will allow me to have a well-rounded college experience consisting of a great education and to follow my lifelong dream of playing baseball at the college level in the USA.
Thank you
Hayden Dingli
