Jared Thompson '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jared Thompson. I attend Vinton-Shellsburg High School in Vinton, IA, and I am in the class of 2017. I am a 6'4, 185 pounds LHP and first baseman. I have plenty of room for physical growth and with hard work in the weight room, will get much stronger and bigger in the next two years. 

Some things I want coaches to know about my personality and the way I play the game is that I love to be a leader on and off the field. If anything, I want my team to be successful and win games. I want to be the guy that my coaches and teammates can depend on when things get tough and even when things are easy. I work very hard on and off the field and in the classroom.

It is my dream to play college baseball and earn a degree.  I would love to have the chance to play in the College World Series.  I know that I have to tools to achieve my dreams as well as the work ethic and desire.   I am looking for the right fit both athletically and academically for my future college.
