Like most athletes, my love for the game grew as I grew. From tee-ball as a four-year-old to coach-pitch little league to competitive major club ball, my love of baseball has grown. I have aspirations to continue playing the game that has been influential and beneficial for me at the collegiate level. I know that playing baseball in college is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Baseball has taught me lessons on and off the field, and I know that playing at the next level will change my life and teach me how to be better in all aspects of life.
Baseball has taught me confidence and leadership. I strive to be a leader on my teams by leading by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am proud that numerous coaches have said I am coachable and ask me to be a leader. I strive to be one of the hardest working players on and off the field by giving 110% on every play. I plan to apply that work ethic to doing what it takes to play at the next level by being committed to the recruiting process and doing what it takes to succeed on and off the field.
I recognize that what I do in the classroom is as important as what I do on the field. I maintain a 3.8 GPA while taking advanced level math, English, and science courses. I was accepted to the National Honor Society this past fall. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the field. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of academics and competition possible. I am looking forward to taking the lessons baseball has taught me so far and applying that to the next level.
