Gary Cavallo Jr. '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gary Cavallo Jr.  I am currently entering my senior year and will be a 2016 graduate.  My primary collegiate goal is to find a College or University that will provide me the academic achievements that would allow me to be very competent and extremely competitive in my chosen field.  I currently have a 25 ACT score, but have also scored a 26 in mathematics and 27 on the science portion of the tests.  I am going to continue to pursue an overall higher ACT score within the next year.

I am a team player, not just on the field but off as well.  I believe my laidback or calm demeanor on the mound and in the dugout instills team confidence. I am not a flashy player with attitude; I am a consistent, hard working student athlete that wants to surround himself with like-minded individuals, so we can be more successful at attaining a common goal, both academically as well as athletically.

 I have found success and continue to do so since my pitching career started as freshmen in 6-5a baseball.  Each year I can see significant gains I have made as a pitcher.  In 2015 I was named to the 1st Team All-District as a pitcher and was nominated three times as the male athlete of the week.  I had a record of 6-1 in District play (District Champions) with an overall record of 6-4.  I pitched 59 innings, with 4 complete games, 18 ER, 50 SO, 1.17 WHIP, .175 OBA, with a 2.11 ERA.

My goal this upcoming senior year is to hit the high 80’s mark with the fine tuning of my CB.  I know I can play at the next level.  I am looking forward to finding the right situation for me so I can continue to develop my skills as a pitcher as well as a student.
