Hi, my name is Mark. Covid hit the week of high school baseball tryouts in my Sophomore year of 2020. I was anticipating making Varsity but the season never happened. Due to the nature of remote online learning, I decided to take a gap year for the academic year of 20/21. Instead I did an internship/worked for MetroWest Sports, a baseball training center. It was an amazing experience to help coach and learn how to run a sports facility for the year but I was ready to get back to school. I’ve been re-classed and am currently a Junior and Natick High School. While I struggled with grades my Freshman year I am proud to say I am pulling straight A’s now. The gap year really helped me grow and mature as a student and athlete.
I am a two position player; a right handed pitcher who prefers to relieve or close and a 1st baseman. I often play 3rd as well. My goal is to play college baseball and be the best student and athlete I can be. Baseball has been my passion for as long as I can remember and I hope to play as long as I can and when I can’t, with my experience working at MetroWest Sports, I know I will always have a hand in the sport one way or another. Thank you for looking into my profile and I look forward to connecting with coaches.
