Landon DeVaney '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Landon DeVaney. I am 16 years old and a Sophomore attending Plainwell High School. I was born on January 18, 2006 in Kalamazoo Michigan. I am currently 6’ 0” 175 pounds. I am a right-handed hitter and thrower. My primary position is 3rd base, and my secondary position is SS. I have played the game of baseball for as long as I can remember. I have had so many opportunities to get better and grow as a ball player with my experience with coaches and teammates. When I am not playing baseball in my free time, I love to go to the gym and play basketball and football. When it comes to college, I would like to pursue the sports medicine field and become a PT or a athletic trainer so I can stay involved in sports. As my accomplishments so far with my journey of baseball, I have been on Varsity since the middle of my freshman year and always filled the spots in the field whether it was 3rd or SS. Now that I am currently a Sophomore,  I am on Varsity full time. I am grateful for this experience of being on Varsity at such a young age because it helps me grow as a player and a person. I like to say “you learn something new everyday”.  With that, playing with older players is a true example of that for me. I am a very coachable player.
