To my future coaches,
I fell in love with the game of baseball as a little boy. The first time I picked up a baseball, I loved something about it. I loved throwing it so much that I put big dents in the garage wall. I added to the holes in the wall with hockey pucks too but throwing the baseball against the wall is where it started.
I loved hitting the baseball and it showed that I was pretty good at it too. I have an older brother so I have always competed against him which made me work hard at being a good hitter and smart pitcher. I really think my older brother has made me a better player in both baseball and hockey because I always have to compete against him when we play pond hockey or whiffle ball or anything else. It has made me love the battle of competition.
Although I am only 14 I know that I want to play at the highest level of baseball I can play. I want to be part of something special. A College World Series is a dream and my dad reminds me that dreams do come true. When I was 6 my dad left his job to start a company and told us that his dream was to make enough money to not have to work again. He worked hard and did it. He sold his company and has done a ton of stuff that proved if you dream it and work at it that you have a chance. He said the key is to hold yourself to a higher standard and be selfless to others. I've heard it over and over and I see now that he put it into work.
That is my plan in all I do in hockey, baseball, and in school. I know that I will be part of something bigger than me. I know I will contribute to that too. If you are looking for a player who is going to be willing to do everything at a higher standard and be a selfless teammate, then I am the player you want.
