Above-average bat speed with solid approach with extension as the best asset.
Baseball Factory 8/3/22 Evaluation Report:
David is a tall 1B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, David makes the routine plays and keeps his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help David field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes his stride on time. He gets back into his load and leads well with his lower half. He extends through his swing and drives the ball from gap to gap. David can barrel up more baseballs by working a smoother rhythm into his load. On the mound, David operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 65mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 58-59mph with 9-3 break. Changeup sits from 56-60mph as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Striding inline toward the plate can help David improve his pitch command. Overall, David is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field. Class Rating - 6
