Personal Statement
I am an athletic JUCO catcher with above-average agility at my position. I am very locked in and dedicated to my craft. I am a left handed hitter with good bat speed and a leg kick. I have good pull side power and tend to stay gap to gap. I am in full control of my at bats and do not let the pitcher dictate their pace. This allows me to take consistent quality at bats.
I have many goals and aspirations as a baseball player and in life in general. The biggest goal I have achieved so far in my baseball career was playing for the Great Britain U23 national team in the European Baseball championship. It was by far the proudest moment of my life as I was not just representing my family and my heritage but 65 million people as well. We went into the tournament as a team that was projected by others to not do well. We ended up upsetting the Dutch who are arguably the best team in Europe. Many coaches constantly go over a we versus me mindset and to me, this was the ultimate embodiment of this.
Experiences like this have shaped me into the player I am today. I understand that no matter how big or small my role is that it is crucial that I do it the best of my abilities and that I learn to adapt and ask what is needed from me.
My cumulative GPA is 3.5 at the junior college level and climbing. I work hard in school. Eligibility and attendance will never be an issue.
