My goal is to play college baseball at an institution that has a great reputation for academics and athletics. Although I love being a three-sport athlete (football, basketball and baseball)--baseball is my favorite. I like the comradery that develops between teammates as well as the mentality it takes to overcome failure that is always part of baseball. I feel prepared for baseball's physical and mental demands thanks to my parents, who ingrained a competitive mindset that I continually rely upon. They have used the word "compete" with me as long as I can remember. My family's mantra is "compete" and I think about that word when I play sports or when I take a test at school. The thought of it motivates me when I feel like I don't want to study for a test or when I don't feel like taking extra hitting in the cage . I have a very good work ethic and mental strength that I will use throughout high school and college. I know I would be an asset to any college or university because I work hard and am a leader. I would strive to be an excellent student and athlete.
