Senior year was the year I became the baseball captain, that year I learned to be brave and be a leader to my teammates, and when I say ”brave” I refer that I was shy to be a leader, I play baseball because I love it and through my leadership God gave me the opportunity to preach his word, while playing I was preaching to them what they can change about their lives with Jesus and helping them as how they could improve as baseball players. My grandfather played amateur baseball at the Dominican Republic, my dad played baseball, my uncle played several summer with the dodgers and my cousin played in college and through the baseball he received scholarship. I play baseball since I was 5, watching the games and playing it, as I was growing up I became more and more interested it. I have learned through baseball about consistency and be discipline, there have been days that I have felt heartbroken because my team lose a game or I did a mistake while playing, however I learned to do my best in the next game or practice. My academic goals is to always maintain excellent grades, strengthen my skills to prepare for greater challenges, with commitment, discipline and effort, and with this I am sure that I can achieve my goals and achieve what I set out to do in life, first of all, with God’s help.
