Jaylen Jeffries El '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jaylen Jeffries- El, i attend Paramus Catholic High School and graduate in 2022. I’ve went to Paramus Catholic since my freshmen year and I feel that I’ve grown as a player so much since that time. I began my high school baseball career by trying out and making the freshmen team and becoming the starting right fielder on the team.     My 2020 sophomore year was cancelled due to COVID but I still managed to play during summer and as the starting center fielder, and batting lead off in the line up. What I feel that I can bring most to the team is base running skills, I’m fast, quick and agile. I’ve felt that base running is something I can easily lean back on and trust especially because I have a great on base percentage. I aspire to go to school in Florida because I’ve always wanted to play baseball year round and obviously in Jersey we never get the chance to do that. I’d say I’m different from other recruits because I always try to bring a fun, and uplifting energy to my teammates and games no matter what the situation is because the biggest thing I learned is that negative energy brings negative results. Lastly I’m a great student I take multiple honors classes and have an updated  3.6 gpa.
