My goal in baseball is to become the best team player I can be. I have played baseball since I was five years old, and I've worked hard to get where I am today. I had to earn every position I played on the field and work extra hard to be great at my craft (why be good when great is available). I have learned there are certain things I cannot control as a player, such as playing time, injuries, questionable calls by umpires, the weather…the list. However, I can tell you as a player, there are some aspects of the game that I can control, like giving 100 percent every time I am on the field, my positive attitude whether we are losing or winning, and above all, my hustle. I always keep these things in my mind - to be a team player first, willing to do whatever it takes to win.
I want to always be known as a player who works really hard and is a great teammate to everyone—constantly learning from his mistakes and always looking to improve.
I hope that playing college baseball will help me balance a business-geared education and my passion for baseball. I am interested in studying business management in the world of sports. Even if I do not get to play in the major league, I would like to get an education that could prepare me to have a degree involving sports because I always want to be surrounded by my love and passion for the sport.
Since I was ten years old, I have known how competitive it is to play baseball, and I want to do everything I can to set myself apart from the many other young men with the same aspirations. I want to continue playing the game that I love at the college level. I am confident that with sacrifices and prioritizing my education, I will be successful not only in baseball but in life.
