Brett Young '19 Recruiting Profile

I believe I am a great candidate for your college team due to my experience and leadership qualities. I am a hard-worker and a good listener, in addition to always trying to find any edge I can to improve myself, I welcome competition, and I am always ready to compete and push myself and my teammates to the next level. I have been captain of many of my sports teams, and I strive to provide guidance on teams where I am not a captain. I am willing to play any spot on the field that I am needed in, and to fill any role to better my team and teammates. I participate in the baseball, football, and formerly basketball programs at my school, and have experience at the freshman, JV, and Varsity level for all three sports. I currently have a 3.9 weighted GPA, as I have taken honors, AP and IB, classes throughout all of my years at Shore Regional. My experience working in customer service has made my people skills one of my top qualities, as well as teaching me to work hard for the things I want in life. Through my offseason (December - March) I lift weights for 3 days a week and practice my baseball skills at least 4 days, on average. My work ethic and desire to improve as a person and athlete push me every day, and I look forward to carrying out my dreams of playing baseball at the college level.
