102 Ian Murray - ...
Ian Murray 2020 _...Baseball has meant everything to me for as long as I can remember. It is because of the love, support and understanding from my family that I've been able to continue to pursue my dream of playing at the collegiate level and hopefully beyond. I would not be in this position without them and need to thank them for everything involved with the road trips to practices, games, and out of state tournaments. Most of all I want to thank them for their support during my injuries and for the encouragement they gave me to push through.
In July of 2016 (age 13), I had surgery on my throwing elbow to repair the ligament and reattach the growth plate after suffering an avulsion fracture. There was a followup surgery in July, 2018 (age 15), to transposition the nerve. Both surgeries were successfully performed by Dr. David Altchek at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
I resumed a throwing regimen this past December, 2018 with Neal Heaton from All-Pro in Bellport, Long Island. I have been throwing pain free since with my velocity and control steadily increasing. Neal's contact information is 631.848.3824 should you wish to speak with him as a reference. I'm currently on pace and hope to be throwing in the low/mid 80's by the end of summer.
Playing baseball is my dream and I am willing to do whatever is necessary to have it in my life for as long as possible. The program I become part of will get someone who continues to be the first one in and the last to leave.
I would greatly appreciate any, and all, opportunities to show more of my abilities as a pitcher.
