Personal Statement
Just like most kids, I got my start playing knothole baseball for our local community. When I began, I had to play an age group up because my age group was full. Only problem was that instead of T-ball, I had to play kid pitch. Unfortunately I was unprepared to compete at that level. It was then I decided that I needed to put in more effort and time to play at their level. Ever since then I have been goal-oriented, dedicated and determined. I spend many hours practicing beyond what is expected just so that I can help my team be competitive. Today I still play up an age group, but I am accepted by my peers for the work ethic I bring to the team.
While in high school, I take advanced placement courses. While school always came easy to me, these classes required more...more time, more effort and more dedication. Just like with baseball, I found myself having to set goals, dedicating time to my studies and making it a point to give it my very best each day. While in high school, I am an honor student that is looking to continue that tradition. When it comes to colleges, I am looking for one that will challenge me to continue to move forward with my life not just athletically but academically as well. I believe that any school would benefit from a student that is goal-oriented, dedicated and determined to always be their best. I know I have what it takes to be a successful student athlete on your team.
