Riley Gerfen '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Riley Gerfen.  I am 17 years old and will be a 2022 graduate of River Valley High School in Caledonia, Ohio.  I have played baseball ever since I can remember.  From t-ball and games in the backyard with friends and family to travel/club ball in the summer through high school, I have always loved the game.  This coming season will be my fourth at the Varsity level as catcher and in the outfield.  I am a team player who brings a lot of positivity and leadership.  I try to be a player my teammates can rely on and I always try to set a good example both on and off the field.

I believe I would make a good addition to any team at the college level...I am coachable, willing to learn, possess strong leadership skills, dedication and I always strive to do my best in both practices and games.  My goal is to continue to better myself both academically and athletically.
