I don’t play to impress people. I play for me and I have a passion for baseball. I have been playing baseball since I was 2. I play other sports but baseball is in my blood. I am a versatile player. I play wherever you put me and I will never complain. I make friends with coaches and players on every team that I play against. Opposing coaches are always catching me after a game to talk to me and acknowledge my friendliness and sportsmanship. I don’t come from a very wealthy family. I haven't had the advantages that others may have had to work with professional trainers. I don't have someone to pay for my college education or the best grades but I still dream of going to college and I would like to keep playing baseball. My goal is to work with kids in sports. I want to go to college so I can get the tools I need to work with kids and show them the positive role that sports can have in their life like it has mine. My mother is incarcerated and my father died a few years ago. Graduating from college and achieving my goal is my way of telling my parents that I will be ok. I will never stop working hard and trying until I achieve my goals.
