This past spring (2018) along with last spring (2017), winning back to back Portage Trail Conference (County Division) baseball championships as a starting full-time varsity player in my sophomore and junior years has been a major high school highlight for me. I've maintained a grade point average of 4.2 along with being a dual sport athlete and being selected First Team All Portage Trail Conference 3rd Base while lettering in track and field posting several "2018 Bests" in sprinting stats all in my junior year. I also broke the indoor 60 meter dash school record as a junior. As a sophomore I was nominated as the offensive baseball player of the year and selected as Second Team All Conference. I also feel that I've grown as a person and athlete the past year. As a 16 year old starting, full-time third baseman on the 17U Ohio Longhorns (Black) summer travel team, we qualified and won our way into the final four of the 17U Notre Dame World Series (July 7-9); only we didn't make it into the championship. Having some experiences like this will help me grow even more in my own efforts as I will continue to put a lot of dedication into my senior year of high school baseball and summer travel baseball. This dedication will make my skills even stronger to play baseball at the college level.
I've been fortunate so far to have had great 2016, 2017 and 2018 baseball seasons on my high school team and summer travel teams. I believe my work ethic, talent and dedication on the field and in the classroom will help me thrive on a college team that's a good match for me academically and athletically. I feel I'll be an enhancement to your program.
