Personal Statement
“Baseball is my passion.” Since, I was four years old I have played baseball for organized baseball teams. Baseball has framed who I am as a young man today. I have learned to be dedicated, self-disciplined, responsible, and most importantly a team player.
I have played many different levels including recreational, school, and travel baseball. Currently, I play varsity high school baseball and for an elite travel baseball team. Our travel baseball team is playing close to 60 games a year and each game I am eager to contribute to my team’s success. I focus daily to train on my own and strive for ways to improve my game.
In addition, to my drive toward baseball I am passionate about my education and focusing on my studies. I maintain a 3.5 GPA as a Junior and have received honors. I have received Congressional Student of the Month and attended the OHSAA Leadership Conference. Baseball drives my ambition to succeed in the classroom, in order to perform on the baseball field.
I know I have the character, intensity, and ethics to be a part of your organization. My disposition is very competitive and positive. I appreciate advice and am willing to take constructive criticism to make my team and me perform better.
In addition to my love for the game of baseball. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. I also play football, basketball, weight lifting, and enjoy hunting with my father.
My goals for the future are to become a college baseball player and receive a college education. I want to find a school that I can make an impact on academically and athletically. I am ready make the commitment through training on and off the field. I look forward to finding right college to achieve my goals for the next level.
