My collegiate goals are simple: earn my college degree, while playing baseball at a high level, just like my dad. Ever since I was a kid, my aspiration and dream always has been to play college baseball. Thus, I work nearly everyday trying to achieve this goal. Many say I won't make it, or that I am wasting my time trying to defeat the impossible odds. Others say that I'll never be good enough, I should quit, or openly laugh at my dreams. However, their words of doubt fuel me to become better everyday, expecting nothing less than perfection. I am a good candidate for any team because I am a leader and always am positive. I also have a deep love for the great game of baseball, that has been described by many coaches as "refreshingly genuine". I am different than most athletes because of what I have overcome. In 2003, my dad died and it was very hard on me. This caused many obstacles to emerge in my life. However, I overcame them, and instead of giving in to the dark shadow of grief, I rose above my circumstances and excelled. This drove me to become exceptional in both character and athletics. I guarantee there is no other athlete that can match the desire, passion, or joy with which I play baseball. Reason being, I play baseball in honor of my late dad.
