Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Jasmyn Smith! I will be graduating in the spring of 2023 from Community Christian School in Norman, Oklahoma. This upcoming season will be my 6th year cheering, 2 years in Jr. High and 4 years as Varsity! My role on the team is to main base but I can also side base. Out of the many girls who tried out for the NCA All-American I was selected with four others to attend the Walt Disney Varsity Spirit Spectacular in Florid, November of 2021.
My teammates have selected myself and three others to be their Varsity Cheer Captains for this 2022-2023 season! As honored as I am to be chosen, I have realized that this is a large amount of responsibility to hold and with that having to be a good role model for not only the cheerleaders on the team but with everyone around me. Throughout my time of being a cheerleader I have learned more patience, teamwork, and responsibility. I am a strong leader and listen very well. I can take corrections well and adjust to new circumstances, whether that be, basing with someone new, side basing, or even trying a new skill I have never tried before. I strive to have the best attitude possible when I am in practice.
My main goal for my senior year is to cheer at a collegiate level in or near Oklahoma. The dream goal I have is to cheer for OSU, although I am reaching for the stars, cheering anywhere in college would be a blessing! My goal while in college is to major in Physical Therapy. I plan to take my undergraduate classes wherever I choose to attend college. Later, hopefully to be accepted into the University of Arkansas's Physical Therapy Program to finish out my degree!
