My name is Dillon Rosset and I've been playing baseball for over 10 years. I currently play for the Ontario Cardinals U17 Elite Team. Playing baseball is a passion of mine. I love the games, practices and being with my teammates and coaches. I also like to spend time working out at the gym. I really enjoy lifting weights and staying in shape.
When it comes to baseball, when I'm not on the mound I really enjoy playing first base. I like the action and being involved in almost every play. I've also spent time playing in the outfield which i enjoy as well. On offense I would consider myself a contact hitter with decent power. I rarely strike out and like to be aggressive on the bases.
I think my greatest attribute when it comes to baseball is my coachability. I am always looking for constructive criticism, feedback and ways to improve. I am never afraid to ask a question. I am also willing to do whatever is in the best interest of the team. I work hard at practice and will also cheer on my teammates through good times and bad.
School is also very important to me. I take a lot of pride in my grades and was proud to be named to the honour roll each year. I am hoping to continue to have that academic success all throughout my high school career. I also played rugby and varsity football. Unfortunately we do not have a baseball team at school.
Outside of school I have just passed my National Lifeguard training and am now a certified lifeguard. I love to swim and used to a part of the local aquatic club. I also enjoy golfing, walking my dog and spend my free time playing video games and board games with friends and family.
I also have spent a lot of time volunteering. I helped out at several youth baseball camps and have also helped raise money for various local charities.
I have a part-time job at the local community centre pool as a Lifeguard and swim instructor
I'd really like to continue to play baseball at the college/university level. I think I would be a great addition to any team and would certainly be a model student at any school I attend.
