I am a dedicated athlete and student, focused on achieving results on the field and in the classroom. I look forward to the opportunity to play the game I love in a competitive environment while also being challenged in earning an equally as competitive education.
My experience in baseball has taught me the value of hard work and preparation, the impact of my choice to commit to my training both on the field and in the gym, the significance of being able to respond and react to feedback, and the importance of being a good teammate and leading by example. I am motivated to be the best possible player and consistently focus my energy on training to advance my game - whether that is in reps before, during or after practice, training programs in the off season, or even improving my knowledge of the game through reading books like ‘The Mental ABCs of Pitching’ by Harvey Dorfman. The lessons I have learned in baseball have also influenced my work ethic and perseverance as an honors student, member of the gifted program, and leader at my school. Academically, I have achieved a 4.3 GPA, consistently challenging myself with all honors and AP classes, while also serving in multiple leadership capacities such as peer mentoring, student council, and leadership academy.
