January 2019I started playing Tee Ball when I was three and have loved baseball ever since. As I was growing up, I always played whatever sport was in season. When I got to 6th grade, I realized that I wanted to start to focus more on baseball. Unfortunately, I broke my elbow in a home plate collision that fall. Despite physical therapy, my arm began to hurt when I threw. I continued to play with pain. When I got to high school, I realized that I wanted to get serious about baseball again. I found a chiropractor/physical therapist who was a former baseball player, and, with his assistance and a lot of work, I was able to throw without pain again. As a sophomore, I played on both the Varsity and JV teams. I was able to DH on Varsity, and my teammates voted me Most Valuable Player on the JV team. I continued improving with my club team throughout the summer and fall. I’ve worked hard to overcome my injury. I am always trying to turn weaknesses into strengths. I am very coachable, and I am a good teammate. My favorite thing about baseball is that you always get to do it again the next day.
In addition to baseball, my academics are very important to me. I work hard to maintain and improve my GPA. I would like to attend a school that is competitive academically and athletically.
