Personal Statement
During my 10 year career, I have traveled and played in north Texas and Louisiana and all over Texas, although the baseball competition here in the Houston area is strong. I will be playing in tournaments in central Texas, DFW, and Louisiana, and more as well as Fall ball. I am constantly playing with and against the top competition at my current level. I have a mental coach, a college D1 former coach (Dave Serrano), a hitting coach (Richard Correa), my HS coach (Randy Reynolds), my longtime pitching coach (Cody Lynch), and my current pitching coach (Ron Wolforth) who I receive consistent and constructive feedback. Baseball, school, and church take up the majority of my time, however, In my spare time I enjoy coaching other pitchers and hitters in my backyard who are on our team and other local students of the game. It is important to me to help other athletes that love the game the same way I do. During the season, I participate in weight training and conditioning multiple days a week at the Texas Baseball Ranch with Ron Wolforth.
I aspire to play baseball as a professional, while earning a degree that will allow me continued success in the future. Baseball has provided me with many of the tools needed to successfully earn an undergraduate degree. It has provided me with a solid foundation in hard-work, determination, resilience and accountability. I have tremendous respect and big love for the game of baseball, my teammates and my coaches. Without my teammates and coaches, I wouldn’t be the player that I am today.
As I continue my career in High School and beyond I will continue to strive to improve my mental and physical game in both academics and in baseball by keeping close to the mentors given to me as I spend time with them each week, while always encouraging my teammates to do the same. As a student I keep my studies up, and my grades are a priority as I have a 4.0 and I periodically tutor other students in math or science (my favorite subjects).
Videos will be posted with all ballgames, and more will follow from any showcases or varsity games every week.
