Personal Statement

My goal is to make it to the MLB and one day be a Hall of Famer, but I also want to learn more about sports and economics so I have something to fall back on after my baseball career. I want to make my school, my team, and the people who helped me proud by staying focused and doing things the right way. I think I’d be a great fit for your team because I’m all about teamwork, and I always give my best to help us win. What makes me different from other players is that I have heart, and I push myself and others to be better every day. School is also really important to me — I’m working to be in the top 5% of my class, and I stay on top of my grades so I can keep playing the sport I love.

Sloan Harrison is a 2028 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-5 105 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cypress Ranch. Ran a 7.85 sixty-yard dash. Put on a strong display during defensive workouts, showcasing a synced-up and twitchy lower half with feel for an internal clock. He got into position with lateral quickness, showing clean glove work and an accurate arm from multiple slots, reaching 65 mph across the diamond. At the plate, Harrison starts with a narrow and upright stance, keeping the hands and back elbow high behind the ear. He displayed an ability to pepper the middle of the field, producing exit velocities up to 65 mph. On the mound, Harrison worked with a two-pitch mix, starting with a fastball that reached 67 mph, flashing arm-side run while pounding the zone. He mixed in a high-50s curveball with 11-5 tilt with late vertical bite. Harrison worked with a repeatable full windup, transitioning into a three-quarters arm slot.
