My goal is to not only play baseball at the collegiate level but to be a contributor. I want to not only make the team, but my goal is to work to help make it stronger and be the best that it can be not only in skills, but, also, in team unity. My high school career basically began with an ATV accident, which led to me not being able to play baseball my sophomore year. I worked tirelessly to be able to return my junior year. I succeeded. I put time in on the field and in the bullpen. However, this success soon came to a screeching halt that led to another obstacle when I broke my hip running out an infield hit. Again, I found myself having to focus, work harder than ever and find an inner drive to help me prepare and be ready for my senior year of baseball. Now, as a senior, I am stronger and faster than I ever was. I have used my set backs to drive me, mentally and physically, to reach my goal of playing collegiate baseball. I don't take getting to play for granted. I don't take the small things for granted. I work hard in the classroom and on the field to be a leader for not only myself but for my teammates. Not giving up, when it would be easy, overcoming adversity, and knowing how to focus to accomplish a goal helps me stand out and be an asset for my team.
