Personal Statement

Baseball has been a passion of mine since I was able to walk.  Like millions of other ballplayers, I have a dream to one day play in the Major Leagues. Over the past 15 years, I have learned the path to become a professional ballplayer is exceptionally long and demanding. As a very young 2015 graduate, I have put in the hours on and off the field to experience a great deal of success. However, I know there is still a long road ahead. I believe playing collegiate baseball offers the opportunity to continue working towards my dream - while providing me the academic background to be successful in other professions surrounding the game.

  • A 2-Day Camp held during school holidays. In it, 100 players are trained, tutored and evaluated by roughly 6 - 8 Major League Scouts and 12 - 18 College Coaches (D1, D2, D3, JC, NAIA).

  • Coach McCune's Camp is typically a 4 day camp held in June of each year. Basic Skills and the Mustang Way are taught and evaluated by current GHS Coaches and Former Players.

  • The Flower Mound Warriors host a 1 day event each President's Day. Skills and drills are conducted by Warrior Coaches and a handful of Texas Rangers players or coaches.

  • A 1 day camp in which Rudy Jaramillo (Texas Rangers Hitting Coach) and his staff taught the philosophy and mechanics that he employs with Major League hitters.

  • This has actually covered the past 15 years. Since my 1st Birthday, he's been the one who has made the biggest impact on my baseball progression in my life. He has taught me if the hard work is put in, positive results will come - not only in baseball, but in life as well. Through ups and downs, victory and defeat; he has been there for me. I am exceptionally blessed to have him in my life to urge me on and be there every step of the way.
