My name is Colton Drew Stafford. My family, friends, teammates & coaches know me as Drew. I am currently 5’10 in and 160lb. I am junior in a small high school in the small east Texas town of Harleton, Texas. My primary position in baseball is catcher with a secondary position in center field but have played in all positions except 1st base throughout my baseball career thus far. Baseball is by far my favorite game! I have played baseball in city leagues, travel and select ball year round since I was 7 years but I also played all sports available in junior high, have been the starting varsity baseball catcher since I have been in high school, JV football my freshman year, varsity football my sophomore & junior year, ran track and this year began powerlifting with our schools powerlifting team.
Most of my free time is training, playing with travel teams or school work but I do enjoy spending time with my family & friends, fishing, building things with my hands and umpiring for the local little baseball association. My current GPA is 4.0 and I am ranked 13th in my 2021 class. School is very important to me, having the opportunity to become the first college graduate in my immediate family after seeing how hard and selfless my parents have worked to give my sister and I dreams of pursuing with our love of athletics gives me drive to continue to show how much I appreciate all they have done for us. I only took one math honors course my freshman year feeling out how I could succeed at both student and athlete but quickly realized I could handle both and began my sophomore year taking all honors courses. I have maintained straight A’s through my high school years and became part of the engineering design team. At this time my degree interest includes engineering and business. As for the type of college I am looking for, I am leaning toward a smaller school where I can become a member of a baseball team with teammates with the same love of the game I have, drive to be the best on the field and degrees in which I can secure my future. I am on the quite side but many of my teachers and coaches previously have said I am a hard worker, driven and very coachable. Thank you for taking the time to read this little about me and I hope to meet you soon.
Best wishes-Drew Stafford
