Ethan Markwell '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’3” LHP and multi-sport athlete attending Coram Deo Academy where I maintain a 4.0 GPA. While balancing a rigorous course load of AP/honors classes, I also play 4 varsity sports. I enjoy being a part of each team, but ultimately all the work I put in for these sports and outside of them is so I can be the best baseball player I can be. For example, I was able to gain about ten pounds while simultaneously competing in football and cross country during the fall 2022 season. I will also be participating in a throwing/velocity program over the winter while I play basketball. My experiences in high school have taught me the values of building good habits and time management.

I am a late bloomer who didn’t really start growing until 14, so I understand persistence and trusting a process for future results. I am still getting bigger and stronger every day and I know my work will pay off. I believe that I would be a good recruit for any program because I love baseball and especially pitching. I have always wanted to play ball in college, and I have committed to putting in whatever work it takes to improve and be able to play at the next level. Thank you for your consideration.
