Carson Wert '19 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play college baseball and be an important part of a winning team.  Long term, I want to be a coach.  So, I want to learn more about the game.  I want to learn more about how to coach.  I want to be a man of positive influence as I play and someday teach the game I love.

On the field, I play with speed and intensity.   I set the table, steal bases, and score runs, but I can also produce rbi's.  As a freshman on J.V., I had a .587 on base percentage while hitting .345.  I believe that I have above average defensive skills and strong fundamentals.  I can play the middle infield or any spot in the outfield.  As a freshman, I had a .920 fielding percentage.

I am confident, but not arrogant.  I work hard to get better and pride myself on being coachable.  I encourage my teammates.  I don’t mind the sacrifice bunt if it means winning the game.  Team comes first.  I try to conduct myself with honor and respect both on and off the field so that I always represent my Lord, my school, and myself in the best way possible.
