Ever since I can remember, my dream has been to play for the Philadelphia Phillies. Somewhere along the line, reality hit, and I realized I could either look into a job as the Phillies Phanatic, or work my tail off and become a great ball player. I chose the later.
I started playing travel hockey when I was six and travel baseball at nine. Over the years I’ve put in the hard work, long hours, and extra lessons to excel in both sports. It was last year when I realized my passion for baseball was where I wanted to concentrate and I haven’t looked back. Not only do I live and breathe baseball, but I really enjoy working with younger kids to help them develop their love for the sport. The last two years, I’ve helped run a baseball camp at my high school and I've enjoyed watching the players grow during the week.
I have two long-term goals. First is to continue playing baseball and to progress my skills and love for the game while contributing to the team’s success. I strive to hold the highest batting average on the team. My second goal is to continue my academics at a school that offers individual growth opportunities so I can help others. I’m currently considering majors in Sports Management/Coaching and Teaching Physical Education or History at the high school level.
My overall goals have shifted over the years, but one thing has been constant, my outlook on life. Work hard, have a great work ethic, hold high morals, never stop trying, be coachable, be a contributor, be a good teammate and friend, never take yourself too serious, be sure to laugh at yourself, give back to the community, love your family and friends, be thankful to God, and be kind.
