Scott Hodinko '22 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing baseball my entire life and am excited to pursue my dream of playing college baseball.  I  have always been committed to my academics as well as my athletics. I have a great work ethic which has allowed me to succeed in both and would be a great addition to a college roster. 

I made my high school Varsity team last year as a sophomore, but that season was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID.  Last (junior) year,  I was a starter and batted lead-off and hit over .400.  I played mainly short stop and also pitched, however, my main position in travel is 3rd base.  I  was honored to be named first team All Concorde District  and first team All-Region this season.   This year (senior) year, I started at Short Stop, batted third and hit .431.  I also pitched 28.1 innings for my team with a 2.24 ERA.  I was honored to not only be named to the 1st team All- Concorde District, but also Co-Player of the Year and 1st Team All- Region (6D) and Region Player of the Year. 

I am so proud to have been named 1st team all met by the Washington Post.  

My goal is to continue playing baseball at the collegiate level while continuing my focus on achieving at a high academic level.
