Personal Statement

My name is Luke Zmolik.  I am a right handed pitcher that has loved the game of baseball ever since I was six years old. The game of baseball is the best game in the world and the feeling I get when I step on the diamond is amazing. I currently go to Monroe high school which is a four-A school. During my freshman year, I got pulled up and had the chance to pitch for the varsity team.

I work very hard in the off season developing better mechanics, strength, and velocity. At the beginning of January thru mid March, I am involved in the Monroe Pitching Club which is led by a former pro pitcher Stephen Bougher. After seeing the results of working out in the gym, I love going in there and hitting it hard.  I also play out field and can even play the infield if needed. I love a challenge when given one and doing whatever I need to do to help my team win.

My dad has been behind me thru the entire processes and I wouldn't be as far as I am without him. I take pride in keeping my GPA high and making good grades. Things i like to do besides baseball is hangout with my family, my friends, and find awesome swimming spots. I give all the glory to God for getting me as far as i have gone in baseball and pray that my future in the game continues to grow.
