My name is Trent Harp and I attend Appleton East High School in Appleton WI, class of 2021. I’m a National Honor Society Member and have a 3.6 GPA.
My collegiate goals include finding a baseball program with knowledgeable coaches who care on and off the field about their players. I have the work ethic, skills, talent to be an immediate impact player, contributing to your team and competing at a high level throughout the duration of my college career. Academically, I am looking for a college that has a good business program where I intend to maintain honor roll level grades. I want both my athletic and academic experiences in college to be something I can say was the best and biggest learning experience that will positively shape my life journey.
As a freshman (2018), I earned a starting position on JV as pitcher, center fielder and the number 3 batter. In the spring of 2019, I was asked as a sophomore to go to Florida with the Varsity team. In 2019 my sophomore year, I earned a starting position on Varsity as center fielder, pitcher and number one batter. Besides pitching, I am a very versatile player and can play all three positions in the outfield, while center field has been my primary spot.
I am a well-rounded, two-sport athlete and play football in addition to baseball. I work out year-round, an average 4-times/week. Playing football helps me be a better baseball player through the speed and agility training that I partake in as a running back/slot back. While juggling sports and my commitment to be the best athlete I can be, I also have a part-time job and work to maintain good grades.
On a side note, I participated in a baseball camp at the University of Milwaukee in August 2019 and ran the 60 yard dash in 7.09 seconds. In August 2020, at the CBS Baseball Combine Wisconsin I ran the 60 yard dash in 6.98 seconds. With that said, I have the willingness and drive to follow instructions and always put the time in to work hard in order to make improvements in my skills needed to play any any position on baseball field.
