Personal Statement
I come from a life faced with adversity, challenges, and determination. I was born in Yokosuka Japan, moving to the United States at the age of 8. My athletic capabilities pushed me to be grateful for them and accomplish many fulfilled dreams. I had joined competitive cheerleading at the age of 11, with complete admirability of World Athletes and High-caliber teams. I was day in, day out of the gym having to beg my parents to take me to train alone. My weekends growing up were full of spring floor and a passion for what I loved doing most. From the small gym where I had started, I knew inside I was capable of achieving what had to seemed to be the impossible. I worked incredibly hard to get to Cheer Athletics and to even have the opportunity filled every void I had come across within my dreams; although I knew it was not the end goal. I aspired to be on the Level 5 and 6 teams and was determined to be at the highest level I could possibly reach. I faced some challenges at home and having to work a part time job since I was 15, meant I needed to prioritize not only my education or work, but to keep my passion alive. Through tough obstacles and points of giving up, I overcame many struggles I had dealt with in which makes me the athlete I am today. I have a passion to become an Entrepreneur in the business world and I believe my leadership skills gained from cheerleading and work allowed me to believe in myself fully. Knowing that what once was an absolute dream become a reality within 6 years of hard work, I found myself obtaining the team and athlete I had aspired to be as a kid and that today is my biggest motivation.
