As a long term gymnast at Dulles Gymnastics Academy who was introduced to cheer In high school, I quickly fell in love with the sport. From the first time I was put in the air, I knew that it was meant for me, and I couldn’t wait to learn more.
Throughout my high school cheer journey, I have attended many extra classes and open gyms at Phoenix Elite cheer gym to improve my flying, jumping, and tumbling skills in order to further help my team. These include tumbling classes, flyer classes, and stunt clinics.
One of my favorite parts of cheer has always been the inclusive team atmosphere, and I would be so honored to have that support throughout my college years. I want to cheer in college because it has been such a constant safe place in my life that I simply can’t imagine living without it. The energy and excitement of this sport is what truly drives me, and I come to practice every time, excited to cheer and dance my heart out.
I'm told my empathy is expansive. I lean towards being inclusive and appreciating the gifts each has to offer.
My biggest goal for finding a college cheer program is to find the team that fits me best and will allow me to showcase my skills to my best ability, while also allowing me to grow as a student and an athlete. I’m so excited to continue my cheer journey in college, and can’t wait to meet my new teammates and coaches!
