Jessica Dornak '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'1" high academic versatile power forward competing in the Concorde District (class 6A) of the Virginia High School League (VHSL).  I attend an IB high school & carry a 3.789 GPA (3.9 NCAA GPA).   I have completed 19 NCAA Core classes at this time with my senior year English dual enrollment to complete my D1 16 core class requirements.  My first SAT score is 1200 and I plan to sit for it again in Fall 2022.

Teachers and coaches describe me as coach-able, eager to learn, and a hard-working vocal leader on the court and great teammate on/off the court.  Coaches have highlighted my "great size and footwork in the paint with ability to attack and finish from the perimeter; plus her shooting ability helps stretch the floor."  Cited for a high basketball IQ, I can see the floor well and have a strong baseline attack with a variety of finishes at the rim. I feel like I have a lot of potential and the talent to grow while I work hard to improve my box scores.  My best is yet to come! 

I plan to attend college to study sports medicine and kinesiology while playing the game I love.  Sports have always been an important part of my life.  I want to learn more about how to help athletes improve their game physically and mentally; and to prevent or recover from injury.
